What to Expect on a Sunday
We are real people who want to grow our relationship with God. We’re not perfect. And we’re overjoyed that God loves us anyway.
When you arrive, look for our First-Time Guest parking (near the accessible parking spaces in the large lot). At the door, our greeters will help you check in your kids and show you around.
Grab a donut and some coffee, catch up with friends, and then head into our auditorium. Once you’re seated, say hello to a neighbor. We love to welcome new friends to our home church! We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We want to laugh, have fun, and enjoy life together.
Before the Service
Worship
The service opens with inspiring, heartfelt worship led by our band. For the most part, worship time features contemporary Christian music, with some beloved hymns sprinkled in occasionally. The words to the songs will be on the big screen. We usually stand, but feel free to sit and join in as you feel comfortable. Our hope is that you sense the presence of God.
During the Service
Lead Pastor Connor Kraus or another of our teaching pastors will present a message (sermon). That message will always be rooted in the Bible. In the spring and fall, we present a multi-week message series that walks us through a single book of the Bible (Old Testament in the spring and New Testament in the fall). Between those longer series, we do shorter ones that address issues like relationships or the common struggles of everyday life.
For kids from birth through 6th grade, we offer spaces and classrooms on Sundays. Both buildings have a Nursing Mom’s Room. Our College Avenue Building also has a Family Lounge with the service on a TV and toys for younger children.
We have Nursery Childcare for the tiny ones and Sunday School Classes for kids during both the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services. Come early and check out the video games and air hockey in The Silo!
Children’s Sunday School
Youth/Student Ministry
The teen years can be the most important in a person’s spiritual development. It’s when we make our faith our own! We have a robust Student Ministry program to help mentor young people along that journey. Senior High (9th-12th grade) students meet at 9 a.m., and Junior High (7th/8th grade) meet at 10:30. We have foosball, ping pong, and other games to play, so come early and enjoy hanging out with friends! Students will participate in worship with our youth band, hear a message from our youth pastor, and participate in small group conversations led by adult volunteers who have a heart for mentoring teens.
After the Service
Stop by the Welcome Center and ask for a welcome packet! Instead of offering a free coffee mug or t-shirt, you’ll have the opportunity to designate a gift (paid by us, on your behalf) to one of the mission organizations we support. It’s our way of thanking you for your visit and showing our heart for missions. You’ll also receive information about our ministries, contact information for our pastoral staff, and our latest seasonal calendar.
Outside of Sunday
We offer so many opportunities to discover more about God, connect with others of faith, and serve – on our campus, in our community and around the world. We invite you to learn more about our Discover-Connect-Serve spiritual roadmap and take your next step!
